Đặt vấn đề: Mảnh ghép mô liên kết tự thân kết hợp với vạt trượt về phía thân răng là chuẩn vàng để điều trị tụt nướu, tăng thể tích mô mềm quanh implant và răng. Niêm mạc khẩu cái cứng là vùng thường được sử dụng để lấy mảnh ghép mô liên kết. Mục tiêu nghiên cứu: Mục tiêu của nghiên cứu này là đo độ dày niêm mạc khẩu cái của người Việt Nam trưởng thành trên hình ảnh phim cắt lớp điện toán chùm tia hình nón (Cone Beam Computerized Tomography: CBCT) và đánh giá các thông số có liên quan. Đối tượng và phương pháp nghiên cứu: 48 người Việt Nam tuổi từ 18-45 còn đủ răng, mô nha chu khỏe mạnh được chụp phim CBCT với máng hướng dẫn chụp phim làm bằng nhựa acrylic. Độ dày niêm mạc khẩu cái của răng 3,4,5,6,7 được đo lần lượt tại các vị trí cách đường viền nướu 2mm, 5mm, 8mm. Một số thông số khác như giới tính, chỉ số BMI, kiểu hình nướu cũng được ghi nhận. Kết quả: Độ dày trung bình của niêm mạc khẩu cái cứng của người Việt Nam là 2,99±0,84mm. Không có sự khác biệt có ý nghĩa thống kê giữa nam và nữ, nhóm tuổi, giữa nhóm có chỉ số BMI dưới trung bình và trên trung bình, và nhóm có kiểu hình nưới dày và mỏng. Độ dày trung bình niêm mạc khẩu cái cứng tại vị trí răng 3 (3,23±0,74), răng 4 (3,07±0,75), răng 5 (3,18±0,87) cao hơn vị trí răng 6 (2,75±0,76) và vị trí răng 7 (2,72±0,91) có ý nghĩa thống kê (p=0,00). Kết luận: CBCT có thể được sử dụng như là một phương tiện không xâm lấn để xác định chính xác và đồng nhất độ dày niêm mạc khẩu cái cứng với sự trợ giúp của máng chụp phim. Vùng thích hợp nhất để lấy mảnh ghép mô liên kết là vùng răng 3, răng 4, răng 5.
