Anastomotic leakage: experience from a colorectal unit

Abstract: Background: Whilst the incidence of anastomotic dehiscence is decreasing, it remains a significant setback to the patients and their surgeons. In most centres, minor leaks are treated conservatively but surgery remains an options.
