Analytical solution to some boundary value problems of elasticity in bipolar coordinates
Natela Zirakashvili
Abstract:Analytical solutions of two-dimensional statics problems of elasticity are presented in bipolar coordinates for homogeneous isotropic bodies bounded by the coordinate lines of a bipolar coordinate system. In particular, various boundary problems for an eccentric circular ring, a half-plane with circular holes, and others are considered. The equilibrium equations and Hooke’s law are expressed using bipolar coordinates. This paper does not address the static equilibrium requirement of the external load at each c… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
