Resumo-Sistemas de redução de ruído são parte importante de implantes cocleares. Este trabalho apresenta uma comparação entre duas técnicas de redução de ruído baseadas nos princípios de estimação da magnitude espectral e da envoltória temporal. Simulações numéricas, utilizando um critério objetivo nãointrusivo especificamente projetado para a estimação da inteligibilidade percentual em usuários de implantes cocleares, indicam que o método baseado na envoltória temporal resulta em desempenho significativamente superior, podendo chegar a uma diferença de até 10% para SNR ≤ 0 dB em relação ao método baseado na estimação da magnitude.
