Analysis on the structure effect of marine fishery total factor productivity under high-quality development in China

Abstract: Improving total factor productivity (TFP) is the source of power for high-quality development. Industrial structure optimization is an important way to improve TFP. This paper constructed an econometric model of industry structure changes impacting on TFP in the marine fisheries and conducted an empirical test and analysis. The results showed that the industry rationalization, softening and processing coefficient of marine fishery had a significant “structural dividend” for improving its TFP; while the impact … Show more

“…The structural adjustment and upgrade of the marine fishery culture calls for the effective support of supporting techniques (He et al, 2022). Advances of production technologies can be penetrated into labor, capital and other elements to be an important factor that promotes the production structural adjustment of the marine fishery culture; ⑤Development of relevant industries (Mach), which is indicated by the marine aquatic product processing capacity (Wang et al, 2021).…”

“…Industrial structure refers to the relationships and modes of interaction between various industries and factors. Wang B divides industrial structure into two dimensions: rationalization and advancement (Wang et al 2021). Many scholars have conducted research using these two dimensions (Yu et al 2021;.…”

“…(2) A second approach is the use of carbon emission decomposition methods, such as the logarithmic mean divisia index (LMDI), to explore the impact of industrial structure adjustment on carbon emissions by breaking down the carbon emission factors and analyzing the change-response relationship using models such as the Stochastic Impacts by Regression on Population, Affluence, and Technology (STIRPAT) model (Wang et al 2017). In the early days of environmental governance research, studies mainly used individual pollution indicators such as exhaust gas, wastewater, and solid waste (Wang et al 2021). In recent years, most scholars have used multiple indicators or constructed environmental pollution functions to explore ecological environment governance status (Färe et al 2007;Purohit et al 2021).…”

“…The coordinated development of the marine industry is an endogenous feature of high-quality development, pushing the transformation and upgrading the marine industry structure, and promoting the structural growth of the marine industry in the middle and high end will provide a strong impetus for marine economic development. This paper selects six secondary indicators to measure the coordination of marine industry structure based on the perspectives of rationalization and advancement of marine industry structure Wang B. et al, 2021).…”
