Abstract:This paper presents calculation of critical current for a high temperature superconducting (HTS) strand which was stacked by the ReBCO coated conductors (ReBCO CCs). Based on the empirical properties of the single ReBCO CC, a several calculating methods of critical current were proposed according to the magnetic field distribution simulated by finite element method (FEM). It was illustrated that an empirical model was the most available for determining the critical current of the strand at 77 K.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
