Analysis on Bearing Capacity of CFG Pile Composite Foundation in Baotou

Abstract: By uniting composite foundation with CFG pile composite foundation for a practical engineering project in Baotou, the bearing capacity of CFG pile in sandy soil and silty soil foundation were analyzed. The conclusion can be applied to the similar projects in the region of Inner Mongolia.

“…Under flexible foundation loads, the bearing capacity of a composite foundation equals the bearing capacity of a single pile [5]. At present, the methods used to predict carrying capacity include the Gaussian process regression prediction (GPR) [6], BP neural network algorithm [7][8][9][10], support vector machine method [11,12], least square support vector machine method, random forest method (RF) [13], polynomial regression method, and grey system method [14], among others. However, each algorithm has certain limitations.…”

“…After a building has been constructed, permafrost will refreeze after a long time, and the building and permafrost will lie under the state of heat balance again. In this process, the thermal properties of permafrost also change unceasingly; the changing properties of permafrost bring a lot of unstable factors to the construction above ground and the bearing capacity of permafrost foundation (Nelson et al, 1992;Sun and Zhang 2007;Wang, 2014); in fact, it will make the disturbed permafrost unable to refreeze or result in the destruction of permafrost structure. Therefore, it has an important reality significance to research the effect of the construction process of building on the distribution and change law of the temperature field of permafrost.…”

“…It is necessary to introduce antiseismic design on the composite foundation. The dynamic studies of the composite foundation mainly concentrated on the numerical simulation applied finite element method software [2][3][4]. The dynamic characteristic and its effect factors of CFG pile and CS pile composite foundation were studied by in-site test of demolitions [5,6].…”
