Analysis of Wind Impacts on the High-Rise Building "Iset Tower"

Abstract: In the paper the wind loads on 52 flore building "Iset Tower" are investigated. Distribution of pressure to the building and velocities are presented. Performed calculations show qualitative agreement with experimental results. According to the results of numerical simulation of wind effects it can be concluded that both aerodynamic experiments and numerical analysis are needed in the design. If there is coincidence of experimental and numerical results then they can be used to calculate the skeleton of the bu… Show more

“…Expert assessment of the standard values of wind pressures for buildings higher than 200 meters (corresponding to wind region VI, Russia) shows that the wind pressure can be more dangerous to the overall strength than the nine-point earthquake. Civil Engineering Institute of Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Eltsin steadily deals with design and deformation monitoring of a number of high-rise buildings in Ekaterinburg [1,2]. Both wind pressure calculation and blow-through in wind tunnels of the building models were performed.…”
