DAS Cimadur merupakan salah satu DAS yang berada di wilayah Kabupaten Lebak, Provinsi Banten. DAS Cimadur mengalami masalah banjir sejak beberapa tahun yang lalu terutama disekitar sungai Cimadur. Salah satu permasalahan banjir terbesar terjadi pada tahun 2019 yang mengakibatkan terendamnya sebagian daerah perkampungan, pendangkalan dasar sungai, dan rusaknya infrastruktur keairan. Dalam rangka penanganan masalah banjir di sungai Cimadur tersebut, maka diperlukan adanya kajian terlebih dahulu mengenai karakteristik aliran sungai. Oleh karena itu, kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik aliran sungai di bagian hilir sungai Cimadur, dengan cara menghitung debit banjir di DAS sungai Cimadur untuk kala ulang 5, 10, 25, dan 50 tahun dan mesimulasikan karakteristik aliran di sungai Cimadur dengan menggunakan program HEC-RAS 4.1. Berdasarkan perhitungan debit, debit banjir untuk kala ulang 5, 10, 25, dan 50 tahun adalah 281,8140 m3/dtk, 352,8301 m3/dtk, 459,6876 m3/dtk, 553,1754 m3/dtk. Berdasarkan simulasi HEC-RAS, aliran sungai pada profil sungai yang lurus memiliki kecepatan aliran lebih besar dibagian tengah section melintangnya dibandingkan dengan bagian kanan dan kiri dari section melintang sungai tersebut. Namun, kecepatan yang hampir sama besar pada bagian tengah dan kanan section melintang sungai diperlihatkan pada profil sungai yang membelok kearah kiri.

Cimadur Basin has faced recurring flood issues in recent years, particularly downstream of the Cimadur River during the rainy season. This condition has drawn the attention of local engineers and water resource managers. This study aims to address these flood problems by identifying the most critical floodprone areas along the Cimadur River. To achieve this, we simulated floodwater levels for various return periods (5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 years) using HEC-RAS software. Field measurements were conducted to obtain cross-sectional data for the Cimadur River, and land-use information for the Cimadur Basin was sourced from PT Saeba. The analysis using HEC-RAS revealed that seven downstream locations along the Cimadur River experience extreme floodwater levels during heavy rainfall, making them highly susceptible to severe flood impacts. In these locations, three are in proximity to residential areas, two are adjacent to rice fields, and the remaining two are close to crop areas. The flood events in these seven areas pose a significant risk to local residents’ safety, endanger surrounding structures, and threaten crop yields in rice and crop fields. Addressing these flood-prone zones is crucial for safeguarding the well-being of the community and minimizing damage.

The old city area is a tourist area strategically located in the heart of the capital city of DKI Jakarta. The Krukut river is one of the rivers that often overflow, which is one of the causes of flooding in Jakarta. This study aims to determine the water level of the Krukut river so that it can be used as a reference in handling flood disaster mitigation. This study uses the Nakayasu method and the Snyder method to calculate flood discharge, with a return period of up to 100 years. Meanwhile, for modeling the river water level using the HEC-RAS 5.0.07 application. The results of this study, specifically on the upstream cross-section until 300 meters after that TMA, are pretty high with plan one, which is 3 m deep from the bottom of the channel. However, the track still has a sufficient guard height of about 1.5 m. In other words, no overtopping/ river water does not overflow in the upstream area with a return period of 10 years and 25 years. However, due to the narrower channel section, the upstream region is more prone to flooding than the middle downstream area. From the modeling results, the channel prone to erosion is the section 10 track which is widening at the same time that the channel is not filled with the CONCRETE channel, so it is effortless to erode. For this reason, it is recommended to repair the walls of the river/channel to avoid scouring, especially if there is a high/extreme discharge.
