Analysis of the Q2237+0305 light-curve variability with regularization technique

Abstract: The microlensing high‐amplification events in the light curves of the gravitationally lensed quasar Q2237+0305 observed by the OGLE group and GLITP collaboration are analysed. The significant brightness amplification in the A and C components in 1999 observational season are considered under the assumption of the fold caustic crossing. Under this assumption we applied the model‐independent method based on regularization technique for one‐dimensional profile restoration of the quasar accretion disc brightness d… Show more

“…We find that the amplitude of the brightness peak is more pronounced in the g -band than in the r -band. This is also consistent with the observations by Vakulik et al (2004) (see also the recent analysis by Koptelova et al 2007).…”

“…This accurate microlensing curve (from October 1999 to early February 2000) has been discussed by several other groups (e.g. Kochanek 2004;Bogdanov & Cherepashchuk 2004;Vakulik et al 2004;Moreau et al 2005;Udalski et al 2006;Koptelova et al 2007;Alexan-drov & Zhdanov 2011;Abolmasov & Shakura 2012;Mediavilla et al 2015).…”

“…Even more dramatic brightness changes of the lensed components due to micro-lensing have been reported for Q2237+0305 (Udalski et al 2006;Koptelova et al 2007). These findings support the view of Witt et al (1995) about the general nature of quadrupole systems and the inevitability of micro-lensing events in them.…”
