Analysis of the Overlapped Electrochemical Signals of Hydrochlorothiazide and Pyridoxine on the Ethylenediamine-Modified Glassy Carbon Electrode by Use of Chemometrics Methods

Abstract: In this work, the electrochemical behavior of hydrochlorothiazide and pyridoxine on the ethylenediamine-modified glassy carbon electrode were investigated by differential pulse voltammetry. In pH 3.4 Britton-Robinson (B-R) buffer solution, both hydrochlorothiazide and pyridoxine had a pair of sensitive irreversible oxidation peaks, that overlapped in the 1.10 V to 1.20 V potential range. Under the optimum experimental conditions, the peak current was linearly related to hydrochlorothiazide and pyridoxine in th… Show more

“…As the UME approaches the surface, the decreasing gap between the UME and the surface hinders diffusion to the UME surface. While ferrocene species, including ferrocene methanol (FcMeOH), are nontoxic to some cells, the presence of these mediators means that other molecules, such as H 2 O 2 , cannot be measured accurately in their presence due to overlapping current signals ( 40 ). Thus, there is a need to develop alternative methods for approaching the surface of biofilms.…”
