Analysis of the microwave magnetic permeability spectra of ferrites with hexagonal structure

Abstract: This paper presents the results of theoretical and experimental investigations of the microwave magnetic permeability spectra of polycrystalline ferrites with hexagonal crystal structure. It is shown that the observed nonmonotone frequency dependence of the permeability is due to the features of the natural ferromagnetic resonance in the presence of a domain structure. The calculations of the contribution of the rotation of the magnetization vector to the permeability performed in the approximation of independ… Show more

“…The difference is that CRS117 material contains more magnetic inclusions compared to CR114 and because of that shows the highest value of imaginary part of permeability. Permeability of magnetic materials (in the range from 0 up to GHz frequencies) can contain one or multiple dispersion areas [10,11].…”

“…The hexaferrite Z -type (Ba3Co2.4Ti0.4Fe23.2O41) powders were prepared using standard solid state ceramic techniques [10,11]. The initial materials for the synthesis were BaO, TiO2, CoO, Fe2O powders.…”

“…The frequency dependences of magnetic permeability are more complicated. It are consisted the volumetric resonance, the oscillations of domain boundaries, the natural ferromagnetic resonance, and the exchange resonance in the internal exchange field in the presence of two or more magnetic sublattices [11].…”

“…In this regard, the experimental magnetic spectra of the composites were processed by the method suggested in [17] [18]. To match the frequency dependences of the imaginary and real permeability components, the Kramers-Kronig relations and independent measurements of the initial static permeability (µ 0 ) of the materials were used.…”
