Analysis of the Influence of Dynamic Properties of Structures on Seismic Response According to Montenegrin and European Regulations

Abstract: The motion of strong earthquakes causes nonlinear deformation and damages to the structure. For structural systems of buildings, domestic and European (EC8) regulation apply algorithm of seismic design based on reference linear-elastic methods that are carried out in two phases. Phase I includes determination of dynamic characteristics of structure, which are then used in phase II for calculation of seismic effects. In this study, parametric analysis of influence of dynamic characteristics of structure was don… Show more

“…The results obtained in this study have a good match convergence with experimental results 17. The experimental results show that the structural defects have such as discontinuities in the rock mass has a significant impact on the value of the strength and deformation characteristics of the jointed rock mass and strength, and deformation characteristics depend on the direction of the load in relation to major system of discontinuities [20][21][22][23][24][25][26]. …”

“…al. [12][13][14][15], adverse geological conditions are not so much dangerous during the construction of engineering structures, as are lack of knowledge of the conditions and the inability to evaluate them in terms of a particular engineering measure. In this case, this statement can be fully attributed to the construction in the karstic areas in Samara.…”
