This research paper explores the perceptions and practices of sustainable art production and consumption related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in Northeast Asia's Film and TV industry which aims to identify the gaps and challenges hindering the adoption of sustainable practices and to propose recommendations for improving sustainable art production and consumption in the region. The research problem addressed in this paper is the limited understanding and implementation of ESG practices within the art industry in Northeast Asia. The research adopts a mixed methods approach that combines a cross-sectional survey with a secondary analysis of policies, reports, and literature. The research involves a survey of 104 participants from various roles within the industry, including investors, producers, directors, writers, actors, managers, and others both in China and South Korea. The result is that as sustainability becomes a global concern, the entertainment sector must embrace ESG principles to minimize its environmental impact, promote social responsibility, and ensure transparent governance. By assessing the current state of ESG knowledge and practices among industry professionals, the study highlights the areas for improvement. Stakeholders, policymakers, and organizations can develop targeted strategies, training programs, and regulations that foster a more environmentally conscious, socially responsible, and ethically governed art industry. Emphasizing ESG practices can enhance the industry's resilience, reputation, and long-term viability in an ever-changing global landscape.

After the recession in Japan in the 1990s, Japanese art exhibitions began to appear. The purpose of these exhibitions was to revitalize these areas through the presentation of art (attracting visitors and tourists). Correspondingly, this study explores the significance of exhibition-driven tourism in Japan. The Echigo–Tsumari Art Triennial (ETAT) was used as a case to study how exhibition-driven tourism has impacted sustainable tourism, economics, and the population. The current paper collected panel data from 1900 to 2018. These panel data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and a correlation analysis (a one-way ANOVA and a Pearson correlation analysis in SPSS26). The empirical analysis showed that the Echigo–Tsumari Art Triennial (exhibition-driven tourism) had positive impacts on sustainable tourism, economics, and the population; its correlations with Niigata were also clear. This study generated results that are valuable from both academic and industry perspectives (exhibition-driven tourism), as this field has not been extensively researched. The current paper also presents the theoretical and practical implications of the statistical results.

While low-carbon and environmentally friendly construction by the exhibition industry has gradually improved, there is a lack of relevant research on whether exhibition-relevant personnel have corresponding low-carbon knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours to jointly assume the responsibility of developing low-carbon exhibitions. This research draws on the literature regarding low-carbon literacy and applies it to the exhibition industry to preliminarily assess the level of low-carbon literacy in China. A questionnaire was formulated through expert surveys and a pre-test. During the formal investigation, 412 valid questionnaires were obtained from exhibitors at seven Chinese exhibition events. The results revealed seven important dimensions of low-carbon literacy in exhibitions, namely, altruistic behaviour, values, low-carbon sensitivity, locus of control, low-carbon knowledge, low-carbon consumption, and action strategies. Low-carbon knowledge and low-carbon sensitivity ranked at the bottom, and middle- and high-level managers and exhibitors with large booth areas exhibited relatively insufficient performance regarding some low-carbon literacy factors. Based on the results, insights for exhibition management and future research directions are proposed in this paper.
