Analysis of the hard and soft shading impact on photovoltaic module performance using solar module tester

Abstract: Solar cells are a major alternate source of sustainable energy in the usual condition of depleting non- renewable energy sources. Nowadays, this source is getting more and more important due to its use in large and small-scale installations. One of the major causes of energy losses in photovoltaic (PV) modules is the shading. It can happen due to clouds passing, near trees, and/or neighboring structures. Generally, there are two types of PV module Shading which are either partial shading or complete shading. B… Show more

“…At PLTMH Sasnek rotation of the turbine shaft from the calculation of the flow of water is 2 liters/sec, while the rotation needed a generator to produce electrical power is 1500 rpm then by way increases the flow rate of discharge and the volume of water required body mounting container reserves by raising capacity his shelter. PLTMH Sasnek shaped mechanical transmission pulley with appropriate diameter ratio associated with V-Belt [35][36][37][38].…”

“…However, some issues still need to be addressed to maximize the output energy from the PV-based power generation systems. One of the emerging issues is the extraction of the maximum power under non-uniform weather [2][4]. The hill-climbing and its related maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms, such as perturb and observe (P&O) [5][7] and incremental conductance (INC) [8][10] are simple and powerful methods in locating the maximum power point under uniform conditions.…”

“…Smart controllers, including the fuzzy logic system, outperformed perturb & observe (P&O) controllers in some cases [13]. Furthermore, compared to the P&O approach, the neuro-fuzzy hybrid intelligent control scheme shows certain advantages [14]. Furthermore, certain artificial neural network training methods have been established so that to speed up the quest for the point of maximum strength.…”
