Analysis of the Extraordinary Viscous Magnetic Domain Wall Motion in NiFe Films

Abstract: Experimental data, published by Bostanjoglo and Gemünd, on the extraordinary viscous domain wall motion in thin oxidized films of 83 at % NiFe are analyzed. It is assumed that the velocity v of the wall is governed by the interaction of the wall with defects present in the film and that this interaction can be overcome by thermal activation.
