In information technology industry, the development of new technology achievements influences and inspires the business world, serves and contributes to the progress of society. This rapidly evolving technological advancement needs a legal framework in order to obtain social and commercial status. Patent Law is the legal science and patent is the legal tool that adds value to intangible assets and therefore technology scientists are motivated to ensure their invention with a patent and also dominant technology enterprises are competing for the development of a strong patent portfolio. For the first time in Greece, combining the fields of intellectual property law and technological innovation, we created a survey using a questionnaire that was distributed in 2019, to graduated students of technology institutes in Greece. The purpose of the present survey is to clarify the knowhow of students as for the legal point of view of technology. We intend to find out, whether Greece's potential inventors have beyond their technological background, the skills and knowledge to support a potential innovative idea. The results of the survey were that students have confidence in the institution of patents; however they lack the knowledge of patenting technological inventions. At the same time they have a positive attitude and motivation for entrepreneurship in the technological industry. Consequently, it is vital to apply measures in education, for the next generation technical inventors to have the knowhow of utilizing their intellectual asset in their own free will. Then, we can refer to integrated scientist technocrats who can protect their intellectual property and manage a competitive business. In coherence with the progressive digitalization of all areas of life, the Internet of Things (IoT) is a flourishing concept in both research and practice. Due to the increasing scholarly attention, the literature landscape has become scattered and fragmented. With a focus on the commercial application of the IoT and corresponding research, we employ a co-citation analysis and literature review to structure the field. We find and describe 19 research themes. To consolidate the extant research, we propose a research framework, which is based on a theoretical implementation process of IoT as a concept, specific IoT applications, or architectures integrated in an adapted input–process–output model. The main variables of the model are an initial definition and conceptualization of an IoT concept (input), which goes through an evaluation process (process), before it is implemented and can have an impact in practice (output). The paper contributes to interdisciplinary research relating to a business and management perspective on IoT by providing a holistic overview of predominant research themes and an integrative research framework.

[7] For important healthcare applications, medical devices built with sensors have been used to measure various vital signals such as blood pressure, body temperature, blood glucose, etc. [8] For example, pressure sensors can be used to test the pulse [9] while chemical sensors allowed the measurement of lactate concentration in blood and analysis of sweat composition for the real time physiologic monitoring. [10] Among the various types of sensors mentioned above, stress sensors play an important role in the sensor family. With the rapid development in the Internet of Thing (IoT) and the big data technology [11] in recent years, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly significant, [12] accelerating the progress in robotics and automation. Because of this, stress sensors are more and more significant for the development of robotic science and AI technology, including artificial skin. [13] In addition, stress sensors can also be applied in photonics, for example microbend optical stress sensor is a typical application. With the advantages presented by microbend optical stress sensors, such as their flexibility, sensitivity, low-cost, and reliability, [14] they can be used in extreme environments, [15] which greatly extends the applied range of the stress sensors. Despite recent advancement of the microbend optical sensors, almost no review to account for the achievements and promote the future development in this area of research is found in the literature. In this review, the theoretical principles and the assembly of typical optical stress sensors are presented. Three physical mechanisms of the bend-loss-based optical stress sensors are introduced. As one type of the bend-loss-based optical stress sensor, the progress of microbend optical sensors for applications in various areas is discussed. The optical stress sensors have already shown potential in a broader spectrum of applications, from healthcare to robotic science. We anticipate that optical stress sensors, in particular microbend optical sensors, will continue to attract attention of researchers globally. This review provides a comprehensive information pack for the community to advance the future development in optical stress sensor.
