Analysis of the Degradation of Pearlitic Steel Mechanical Properties Depending on the Stability of the Structural Phases

Abstract: The paper is focused on analysing the pearlitic steel phase transformations and their influence on the mechanical properties. The intention is to perform a detailed analysis of the heat treatment process using the exact heating temperature and chemical composition to achieve the optimal mechanical properties of the tool. The key area is monitoring and regulating the heat treatment. This technology is constantly undergoing an optimisation process and is an effort to introduce new trends in monitoring phase tran… Show more

“…Various methods can be used to create wear-resistant layers (Béjar and Moreno, 2006;Eroglu, 2009;Coronado et al, 2009;Yuan et al, 2017;Ťavodová et al, 2018;Šmak et al, 2023). In addition to conventional methods based on the creation of wear-resistant layers using additional materials by melting technologies (Buchanan et al, 2007;Kotus et al, 2011;Brezinová et al, 2016;Arsić et al, 2022;Kangalov et al, 2022;Votava et al, 2022), it is possible to use methods based on the remelting of materials in environments with a suitable chemical composition (Bourithis et al, 2002).…”
