Abstract:Background. In order to understand the research status and hotspots in the field of global synthetic biology, this paper analyzes the gaps and differences between China's synthetic biology research and foreign counterparts.
Methods. Using the scientmetric tool CiteSpace, 12040 academic papers with the theme of synthetic biology, which were included in the Web of Science core set database in the past 15 years from 2008 to 2023, were visually analyzed.
