The risk priority number (RPN) calculation method is one of the critical subjects of failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) research. Recently, RPN research under a fuzzy uncertainty environment has become a hot topic. Accordingly, increasing studies have ignored the important impact of the random sampling uncertainty in the FMEA assessment. In this study, a fuzzy beta-binomial RPN evaluation method is proposed by integrating fuzzy theory, Bayesian statistical inference, and the beta-binomial distribution. This model can effectively realize real-time, dynamic, and long-term evaluation of RPN under the condition of continuous knowledge accumulation. The major contribution of the proposed model is to use the random uncertainty and fuzzy uncertainty in an integrated model and provide a Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method to solve the complex integrated model. The study presented a case study, which presented how to apply this model in practice and indicated the significant influence on the measurement error caused by ignoring the random uncertainty caused by expert evaluation in RPN calculations.

The significance of emergency decision-making (EmDM) has been experienced recently due to the continuous occurrence of various emergency situations that have caused significant social and monetary misfortunes. EmDM assumes a manageable role when it is important to moderate property and live misfortunes and to reduce the negative effects on the social and natural turn of events. Genuine world EmDM issues are usually described as complex, time-consuming, lack of data, and the effect of mental practices that make it a challenging task for decision-makers. This article shows the need to manage the various types of vulnerabilities and to monitor practices to resolve these concerns. In clinical analysis, how to select an ideal drug from certain drugs with efficacy values for coronavirus disease has become a common problem these days. To address this issue, we are establishing a multi-attribute decision-making approach (MADMap) based on the EDAS method under Pythagorean probabilistic hesitant fuzzy information. In addition, an algorithm is developed to address the uncertainty in the selection of drugs in EmDM issues with regards to clinical analysis. The actual contextual analysis of the selection of the appropriate drug to treat coronavirus ailment is utilized to show the practicality of our proposed technique. Finally, with the help of a comparative analysis of the TOPSIS technique, we demonstrate the efficiency and applicability of the established methodology.

Extended q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets (q-ROFSs) is an excellent tool to depict the qualitative assessing information in multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) environments. The EDAS method is very effective especially when the conflicting attributes exist in the MAGDM issues in which the optimal alternative should have the biggest value of PDAS and the smallest value of NDAS. In this paper, we put forward the EDAS method for MAGDM issues under q-ROFSs, which makes use of average solution (AS) for assessing the chosen alternatives. The positive distance from AS (PDAS) and negative distance from AS (NDAS) is derived through the score of q-ROFSs. Then, the sorting order or the optimal alternative can be acquired by computing integrative appraisal score. Finally, a numerical example for buying a refrigerator is given to testify our developed EDAS method and some comparative analysis are also raised to further show the precious merits of this method.
