Analysis of Strategic Directions in Sustainable Hydrogen Investment Decisions

Abstract: This study seeks to find the appropriate strategies necessary to make sustainable and effective hydrogen energy investments. Within this scope, nine different criteria are defined regarding social, managerial, and financial factors. A hesitant, interval-valued, intuitionistic fuzzy (IVIF) decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) methodology is considered to calculate the degree of importance of the criteria. Additionally, impact relation maps are also generated to visualize the causality relat… Show more

“…From a methodological perspective, for example, Bappy et al [50] apply an extensive method set regarding sustainability evaluation-they use the Analytical Hierarchy Process and Hierarchical Evidential Reasoning based on the Dempster-Shafer (D-S) theory, with results compared to Yager's recursive rule of combination. Within the context of energy and SCM, several research contributions have outlined the value of the triple bottom line (TBL) approach as an evaluation criteria structure [21,[51][52][53][54][55][56][57]. Therefore, a segmentation in a social, economic, and environmental perspective is applied.…”

“…Trying to grow in such an environment will not yield above average. If businesses are also satisfied with their location, they will follow a stable strategy to maintain their status (Zhu et al 2020). Health institutions will not change the size of the health service or make very small changes when there are no new opportunities and in a balanced competitive environment.…”

“…However, DEMATEL method has some superiorities in comparison with the others. For instance, impact relation map of the factors can be constructed (Mahmoudi et al, 2019;Zhu et al, 2020). Hence, it can be possible to evaluate the causal relationship between the items (Delen et al, 2020).…”
