Analysis of small oscillations of complex electrical systems

Abstract: The article discusses the results of the analysis of the static stability of complex electrical systems. The efficiency of the combined application of the equations of nodal voltages (ENV) and the Lyapunov function in quadratic form for the analysis of small oscillations of the electrical system is shown in the literature, which is called the Allaev method. A joint solution of the equations of nodal voltages and the matrix Lyapunov equation is given, which makes it possible to determine the stability condition… Show more

“…Regulation of the excitation of generators has a significant impact on transients in the power system; therefore, adequate systems for automatic regulation of excitation are necessary [10]. For the development of such systems at the design stage, as well as for the training of maintenance personnel, it is important to have information about the processes occurring in the system in various operating modes, including emergency ones [11]. A set of models should ensure the reproduction of the main characteristics operated by AECs that affect the quality of electromechanical transients [12].…”

“…Most of the existing and applied in practice, methods and algorithms for finding a solution to the problems of optimizing short-term modes of the EPS, involve the use of deterministic initial data that were obtained as a result of monitoring [2]. These cases lead to the loss of the optimization effect since there are also corresponding deviations in the resulting EPS modes.…”

“…Synchronous motors, due to their design features and high technical and economic indicators, are increasingly used in industry. Along with such working machines as, for example, pump and fan units, gas and blowers, characterized by an even load curve, synchronous motors are used as a drive for a wide variety of mechanisms with a pronounced variable load, such as: cone, jaw and hammer crushers, ball and rod mills of mining enterprises, rubber mixers in the chemical industry, rocking machines in oil fields, shears and saws for metal, continuous rolling mills, piston compressors, drives for converting units of reversible rolling mills, mine hoisting machines, skip winches of blast furnaces, powerful excavators, and many others [1,2].…”
