Analysis of Slot-coupled Microstrip Filters

Abstract

In this paper we propose a new type of laminated planar filters consisting of two quarter-wavelength mi crostrip resonators located on both sides of the ground plane having a coupling slot. It is shown through numerical simulations by mean of the FD-TD method that the frequency characteristics of both pass band and attenuation pole are controllable by choosing the structural parameters appropriately.
