Analysis of Slope Stability

Abstract: In the paper the numerical modelling of ensuring slope stability and their analysing with using of different numerical methods are presented. We have designed the cutting walls with earth nails and anchors securing for modelling of slope stability ensuring. The calculate and the mechanism of failure process of the reinforced slopes were studied using the different methods for slope stability. The nailing significantly increased the stability level for using Spencer method. The anchors increased the stability l… Show more

“…Analyzes of this type are of great importance for the broadly understood construction industry, e.g. modeling of erosion processes [44,45], transport [46], landslide processes [47][48][49][50][51][52][53][54][55], as well as assessment of the impact of the construction industry and the building materials industry on the natural environment in terms of sustainable development [56,57].…”

“…For simplicity, two illustrative cases are analysed by the common methods, namely Ordinary and Bishop's method. However, more advanced methods such as Sarma Method [21] with polygonal slip surfaces, which shows its appropriateness in some geological conditions [22], are also applied similarly.…”

“…Indeed, when fv exceeds 35 %, the gravels touch each other and form a "macro granular" structure [13], which will control the overall behavior. Thus, the inclusions are no longer embedded in the matrix, a difference in behavior is observed between f v ≤ 35 % and f v > 35 % [14,15].…”
