Analysis of Predictive Maintenance for Tunnel Systems

Abstract: Smart and automated maintenance could make the system and its parts more sustainable by extending their lifecycle, failure detection, smart control of the equipment, and precise detection and reaction to unexpected circumstances. This article focuses on the analysis of data, particularly on logs captured in several Czech tunnel systems. The objective of the analysis is to find useful information in the logs for predicting upcoming situations, and furthermore, to check the possibilities of predictive diagnostic… Show more

“…Modern management practice requires more complex tools for a wide range of routine management decisions, such as cost-benefit analysis, decision trees, game theory, heuristic methods, optimization, etc. Increased industrial production and productivity require more sophisticated tools for analysis [10] and decision support, which will fundamentally depend on better decision analysis [11,12]. Extensive studies of the escalation of durations and costs in major projects yield surprising results [13].…”

“…Relevant indicators for the safety evaluation of shield tunnel structures involve various standards and norms in China (CJJ/T 289-2018, 2018; Bergeson and Ernst, 2015; Eskesen et al , 2004). The corresponding reference indexes and classification standards have been proposed for the leakage rate, curvature deformation limit, crack opening, judgment standard of lining strength, misalignment, void and track bed (Andreotti et al , 2020; Kimura et al , 2019; Tichý et al , 2021). Among them, qualitative indicators are determined by a ten-point scoring method.…”

“…In order to reduce the influence of size effect on the accuracy of numerical simulation, the model size is set to 90 m × 90 m × 90 m, and the model has 52460 units. A three-dimensional incongruent element with eight nodes is used for soil [28], and an integral three-dimensional element with eight nodes is used for pile wall and tunnel structure.…”
