Analysis of mechanical strength to fixing the femoral neck fracture in synthetic bone type Asnis

Abstract: OBJECTIVE: To analyze the results of biomechanical assays of fixation of Pauwels type III femoral neck fracture in synthetic bone, using 7.5mm cannulated screws in inverted triangle formation, in relation to the control group. METHODS: Ten synthetic bones were used, from a domestic brand, divided into two groups: test and control. In the test group, a 70° tilt osteotomy of the femoral neck was fixated using three cannulated screws in inverted triangle formation. The resistance of this fixation and its rotation… Show more

“…Good reduction and cannulated screw fractures should be considered [1].Methods such as medial support plate xation and percutaneous compression plate xation have also been used [2]. Decreases Shear and Angular Displacement could occur in fractures that receive plate xati [3].cannulatedscrew xation can still be used as an effective xation method.Three cannulatedscrews are placed in the shape of an inverted triangle, which is the most common xation method [4].Four cannulatedscrew xation may also be selected as a xation method [5].But whether an extra cannulatedscrew is necessary remains a matter of debate.A retrospective analysis of young femoral neck patients who received cannulatedscrew xation in recent years is reported below.…”
