Analysis of trp repressor‐DNA interactions using gel electrophoresis

Abstract: Quantitative analysis of the DNA-binding equilibria of E. coli trp repressor by gel electrophoresis led to reevaluation of our understanding of this complex system. In this review, the data leading to controversy about the trp system are discussed, and our current understanding is presented.
