Analysis of factors affecting measurement accuracy and establishment of an optimal measurement strategy of a laser displacement sensor

Abstract: Laser triangulation method is widely used in online precision measurement owing to its advantages of being fast, accurate, and dynamic, and having large-scale measurement capability. To improve the accuracy of laser triangulation, the scan depth, inclination angle, rotation angle, and deflection angle are defined. Then, a spatial pose error model and an experimental model for laser measurement error are established. Next, error analysis experiments are conducted, and the influence of spatial pose parameters on… Show more

“…The clarity of the image will be affected due to a series of problems, such as the difference in the grayscale gradient of the speckle image, the reflection on the component's surface, and the change of light during the test. At the algorithm level, selecting the sub-region size, interpolation algorithm, and shape function of the study area will cause different systematic errors in the calculation [25].…”

“…For laser displacement sensors using the trigonometric principle, the maximum value of the angle between the laser beam and the normal vector of the surface to be measured is limited [ 17 ], and is usually less than . At the same time, in order to avoid the strangeness of the equations, there should be a minimum limit of an angle between any two postures in the process of changing the attitude of the wafer.…”

“…Pitch deviation refers to the difference between the actual pitch and the nominal pitch of one gear tooth at the indexing circle [21]. Based on the actual curve expression of any section of the previous gear, the coordinate, P(x P , y P ), of any intersection point of the actual profile curve at the indexing circle can be obtained by solving it in conjunction with the theoretical indexing circle equation.…”
