Analysis of environmental regulation policy for Chinese paper enterprises

Abstract: In the past decade, the Chinese paper industry, which is highly polluting and energy intensive, has shown overall increases in production, sales, income, and profit, although the growth rate has declined. Overall, China’s paper industry exhibits small-scale and scattered distribution, characterized by continuous overcapacity and outdated technical knowledge. This has inevitably resulted in a variety of serious environmental problems during its development. Owing to the environmental problems resulting from the… Show more

“…Presently, the supply and sustainable access to highquality material along with preserving proper paradigms of material diversity is a big challenge in the cardboard industry, jeopardizing sustainable production that aims at sustainable designing, controlling, and monitoring, and finally sustainable delivery of the product. The results reported by researchers including Prajogo et al (2016), Susanty et al (2016), Azizi et al (2016), andHe et al (2020) support the present findings as to the economic sub-factors, human resources, material and product, and the quality of service and product.…”

“…A glance at the regulations at the level of relevant companies, associations, and organizations reveals much confusion, which requires more attention to empowerment, the stability of procedures and guidelines, and their supportiveness. Azizi et al (2016), Mohebbi et al (2017), and He et al (2020) reported similar results.…”

“…He et al. [ 220 ] prepared DW with infiltrated carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for solar steam generation and liquid water transportation. Compared to DW, the prepared DW/CNT composite was floatable with a 20% higher steam generation capacity and had better solar energy utilization due to an increased thermal efficiency of 8%.…”

“…Solar steam generation techniques show promise in wastewater treatment and desalination [ 147–152 ] In particular, carbonized wood‐based solar steam generation devices (CW‐SSGDs) demonstrate great potential, attributed to sustainability and easily preparation. [ 153–158 ] Moreover, attributed to the inherent natural structural advantages, carbonized wood‐based solar steam generation devices have nice anti‐salty accumulation capacity, which enables their long term high performance during the evaporation. Additionally, carbonized wood‐based solar steam generation devices can be prepared in a large scale at low costs.…”
