“…Endometrial cancer is mainly a disease that occurs primarily in postmenopausal women, with 75–80% of women being postmenopausal at the time of diagnosis [ 3 , 4 , 5 ]. The incidence of endometrial cancer among premenopausal women varies in the different studies depending on the cut-off age used or evaluation of the ovarian activity [ 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 ]. The average menopausal age for the Malaysian population is around 51 years old [ 10 ].…”

“…A tumour with better differentiation has better prognostic value. As the tumour loses its differentiation, the prognostic survival reduces [ 9 , 20 ]. The histologic subtype of the endometrial cell is also a major determinant of the prognosis.…”

“…Endometrial cancer is one of the most common malignancies affecting women, with around 9,700 new cases diagnosed in the UK every year (1). Whilst the exact prevalence of endometrial cancer in young women is equivocal, it has been estimated that up to 14% of cases occur in young women aged less than 40 years (2)(3)(4). Risk factors associated with the incidence of endometrial cancer in young women include higher body mass index, nulliparity and polycystic ovarian syndrome (3,5,6).…”
