Analysis of Dynamics of Ametro Vehiclemodel With Differentialwheelsets

Abstract: The operating conditions of light rail vehicles (trams, metro vehicles) are predominantly different compared with those of passenger or freight trains. The increased number of low-radii curves has a negative effect on wheel-rail interaction. The general design of light rail vehicle running gear is inherited from passenger trains and adapted to different loads. However, conventional solutions of a running gear may not provide smooth low-radius curve negotiation in all circumstances. In addition, a two-point con… Show more

“…Further, efforts will be made to creating a virtual multibody model (MBS model) of the lorry chassis. It is possible to expand the MBS model using the presented FEM model of the frame [15,25,37], input dynamic loads to the structure and investigate its behaviour under these defined loads.…”

“…Moreover, we have also compared results of these numerical calculations with the analytical approach. The used software enables modelling and analysing of the dynamic properties and behaviour of transport means of wide range inclusive road vehicles, rail vehicles [18][19][20] and similar transport means ranging from trams [21][22][23] to high-speed trains. For calculations of contact phenomena between wheel (tire or railway wheel) and track (road or railway track) it used variously intricate models [24,25].…”
