Analysis of advanced inverter topology for renewable energy generation and energy storage integration into AC grid

Abstract: Abstract. In renewable energy generation systems energy storage is needed not only to supply power when there is no generation. but also for short term smoothening of the electricity supply. The Quasi-Z-source Inverter (qZSI) allows to integrate energy storage in addition to the other energy sources mainly for output power smoothening. In the paper analysis of the scientific papers is given about this kind of converters and also theoretical and simulation based analysis of basic relations, control principles a… Show more

“…There are several topologies of the impedance network (Z source) that can be used, the quasi Z source topology allows eliminate discontinuous current mode that in many cases gives advantages. Quasi Z source network more often is used in DC-DC converters [19][20][21][22][23][24] or in DC-AC inverters to produce sinusoidal voltage [25][26][27]. The Z-source or quasi Z-source converters for WPT are analyzed in [28][29][30][31][32][33], the converter is used for both inductive and capacitive power transfer, also for Power Factor Correction (PFC) [34].…”

“…The problems of PV technology deployment in these countries are reflected in the scientific literature (a comprehensive review of this literature is given in the articles [13,[30][31][32][33][34][35][36]. However, as far as we know, no assessment of the joint effect of load, solar activity, market price profiles, and the rules for the formation of consumers' accounts on their financial efficiency has been conducted.…”
