Analysis and validation of a new path loss model for LEO satellite communication systems

Abstract: A new and simple path loss model for the up/down links in LEO satellite communication systems is provided in the paper. It is different with traditional path loss models for urban peer-to-peer links in terrestrial. This model is considering dynamic topologies, handoffs, earth-satellite distance, operation frequency and other LEO satellite's parameters.
