Analysis and Optimum Structure of Deformation Coordination of Crankshaft-Bearing System

Abstract: Aiming at realizing the coordination deformation of crankshaft-bearing system for engine, the equation of coordination deformation for crankshaft-bearing system was derived based on the theory of elasticity. According to the hydrodynamic lubrication theory, the mathematical model was established to analyze the bearing characteristics; the displacement of each bearing in the vertical direction was calculated by combined solution of the two parts above. The sum of squared differences of displacements was evaluat… Show more

“…Bi et al, 14 Sun et al, 15 and Lorenz et al 16 studied the lubrication performances of crankshaft bearings considering the influence of surface topography based on the average Reynolds equation, which found that the surface topography parameters had a substantial impact on bearing lubrication characteristics. You et al 17 compared the effects of the continuous beam crankshaft model and the simply supported beam crankshaft model on the crankshaft deformation, and pointed out that the former can more accurately reflect the dynamic response of the crankshaft bearing. Morris et al 18 investigated the influence of the surface texturing on the load carrying capacity of journal bearing by prediction and experiment.…”
