“…Thus, in clinical practice, the study of independent predictors and the development of a predictive nomogram for the peritoneal recurrence of GC may serve as a powerful tool for forming a cohort of patients with indications for adjuvant intraperitoneal chemotherapy. There are only a few reports on this subject in the literature [14]. Based on the results of monovarietal analysis of about three dozen potential factors and multivariate analysis, we identifi ed four independent predictive factors of peritoneal recurrence of GC based on which we built a nomogram: invasion of the serosal membrane, area of serosal invasion, morphological type according to Lauren, index of regional lymph node involvement, and tumor localization in the upper third of the stomach.…”

“…Besides having different microscopic appearances, the two subgroups have also distinct clinicopathological and molecular features. Several studies demonstrated that intestinal GC tends to metastasize to the liver, while diffuse GC is frequently associated with PD [244][245][246][247]. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying the correlation between diffuse type and carcinomatosis are still obscure.…”

“…A nomogram is a model that predicts the probability of a patient’s clinical events based on multivariate regression analysis, which can quickly and intuitively predict the prognosis of patients, and is widely used in tumor-related research ( 14 ). A key advantage of nomograms is their ability to estimate personalized risk based on patient and disease characteristics ( 15 ).…”
