Abstract:Ferro‐ and antiferromagnetism in the Laves phase TiBe2−xCuxx occurs for 0.1 ⪅ x ⪅ 0.2 and below x ⪅ 0.1, respectively, and is thought to be due to competing mechanisms. Analogous competing, and also cooperative mechanisms in the historically first antiferroelectric NH4H2PO4 and its solid solutions with TIH2PO4 and with the ferroelectric KH2PO4 are discussed as funciton of deuteration and of pressure. Another analogy as function of pressure is established with the antiferroelectric perovskite PbZrO3.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
