The world situation with full of demands and limitations during the current pandemic can bring negative impacts on family. Family face burdens of daily needs for family life’s. Regarding to this condition, the ideal family size which is couple who has no more than two children, is an entity that needs to be considered to ensure the survivability of family. This study aimed to determine factors that related and predict the ideal family size for reproductive age couples in East Java. This study was quantitative study with cross-sectional approach. Data used in this study was secondary data from the Family Data Collection in 2021. Sampling technique was saturation sampling on reproductive age couples in 38 cities and regencies of East Java. Dependent variable was ideal family size. Independent variable was ideal age of marriage, participation in modern contraception, preferences for the ideal number of children, exposure to electronic media information, exposure to social media information, exposure to printed media information, and exposure to mass media information. Data analysis used multiple linear regression test. The study result stated variables that were related and had contribution in predicting ideal family size in reproductive age couples were ideal marriage age (p=0.001), participation in modern contraception (p=0.001), preference for ideal number of children (p=0.001), exposure to electronic media information (p=0.018), and exposure to mass media information (p=0.009). Based on these results, it is hoped that several intervention programs can be arranged by related institutions, targeted in the field that are in accordance with the study results.

<div><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="left"><tbody><tr><td align="left" valign="top"><p>Menopause is the scientific cessation of menstruation. One of the problems in menopause will be caused by the mother's lack of readiness to deal with menopause which can cause symptoms, diseases and psychological disorders that need attention.</p><p>This type of research is a descriptive-analytical survey using secondary and primary data. This study included all postmenopausal women in hamlet XX, Bandar kalippa Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency with a sample of 38 people.</p><p>The results of this study show that the readiness of postmenopausal women to face menopause in 2022, based on the age of the majority of 40-44 years 20 people (52.63%) and based on the majority of junior high school education below 21 people (55.26%) and based on the knowledge that lacks knowledge 28 people (73.68%) and based on the economy 26 people (68.42%). Moreover, this shows that the probability (0.000) < (0.05) Ho is rejected means Ha is accepted; it can be concluded that age, education, knowledge and economy are related to the mother's readiness to face menopause.</p></td></tr></tbody></table></div><p>It is hoped that all postmenopausal women in hamlet XX Bandar kalippa Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency to increase higher readiness for menopause, increase knowledge of menopause, and increase awareness and willingness to overcome disorders and readiness in menopause to create maternal health in dealing with menopause until the elderly.</p>

Birth weight is a risk factor that increases the incidence of perineal injury. The bigger the baby born the risk of perineal rupture. The coverage rate for participants for mothers who gave birth at the Juwita Midwife Clinic in 2022 recorded 14 participants, 9 women who had normal births experienced tears in the birth canal. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between birth weight and perineal rupture in normal delivery at the Juwita Midwife Clinic in 2022. This research is an analytical study with a cross-sectional research design. This research was conducted at the Juwita Midwife Clinic, Hamparan Perak, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. The time of the study was in May-July 2022. The population in the study was all maternity patients at the Juwita Midwife Clinic who gave birth in May-July 2022 as many as 55 normal birth mothers. The sampling technique used in this research is non-probability sampling with total sampling technique. The number of samples in this research was 55 people. Collecting data in this study used a questionnaire in the form of a check list sheet. Univariate analysis with descriptive, while bivariate analysis with Chi-Square test. The results of the research were that mothers experienced perineal rupture by giving birth to normal baby weight ≤4000 grams, namely 17 mothers (30,9%) of whom gave birth with babies weighing more than 4000 grams, namely 18 mothers (32,8%). There is a relationship between birth weight and perineal rupture at the Juwita midwife clinic, Hamparan Perak District, Deli Serdang Regency (p-value=0,040). It is recommended that health workers can increase their vigilance in providing birth assistance so that perineal rupture does not occur.</em></p><p><em><br /></em></p></td></tr></tbody></table></div><strong><em>Keyword: Maternity, Newborn Weight, Perineal Rupture</em></strong>
