Analisis Pola Sebaran Spasial BABS (Buang Air Besar Sembarangan) di Kelurahan Kedung Halang

Abstract

Open defecation is an unhealthy activity, feces or feces that are disposed of carelessly can pollute the water, soil and air around us. Problems that arise when feces are not properly processed are the presence of pathogenic microbes, organic matter, worm eggs and nutrients that affect health. The purpose of this study was to make a map of the distribution of open defecation based on RW in Kedung Halang Urban Village and to make a map of the relationship between the distribution of open defecation in each RW and access to latrines in Kedung Halang Urban Village. This research method uses a qualitative type with secondary data on open defecation cases obtained from Kedung Halang Village inFebruary 2023. Survey and installation of coordinate points using Google Earth Software which is processed and projected in the form of a BABS distribution map with Arcgis Software. RW 08 has the most open defecation data and does not have a toilet because it is a densely populated area that does not have a direct clean water supply and its residents do not realize the importance of toilets for health. RW 12 has the lowest open defecation data and has latrines because the population density in the area is not too high so building a septic tank will be easy.
