Abstract: The Steel Plate Shearwall (SPSW) system is a structural system capable of exhibiting high initial stiffness deformation, ductile behavior, and large energy dissipation, making it appropriate to be a large earthquake-resisting system. Removing infill plate from the column can be advantageous because the possibility of initial failure occurred in the column can be minimized.
