Stature is the human physical form or somatotypes. Stature is often associated with sociodemographic factors. However, now, further evidence is needed about this phenomenon, especially in the toddler population. This study aims to analyze the relationship between sociodemographic factors and short stature in toddlers. Cross-sectional study design. The population is 303 toddlers aged 12-60 months in Lojejer Wuluhan Jember Village, East Java. A total of 172 samples were taken by cluster sampling. Sociodemographic variables that were measured included: father's age, mother's age, father's education, mother's education, family income, under-five gender, and birth weight. Toddler stature dependent variable. Data collection techniques using observation and questionnaires. Data analysis using logistic regression. The results showed that the variables of family income, child's gender, and birth weight had a relationship with short stature in toddlers. The results of the modeling analysis showed that male sex (p 0.004, AOR 3.94, 95% CI 1.54 to 10.07) and birth weight (p <0.001, AOR 39.005, 95% CI 7.69 up to 197.63) have been shown to have a significant relationship with short stature in toddlers. Birth weight is an illustration of the nutritional status of toddlers during the intra-uterine period. This study concluded that male toddlers have a higher risk of experiencing short stature compared to female toddlers. Babies born with low birth weight are at risk of experiencing short stature compared to those with normal birth weight and more. Nutritional status at birth is the initial capital for children's growth in the Toddler period. Therefore, the government needs to establish stricter policies so that pregnant women get assurance of adequate nutritional intake for themselves and their babies. In addition, it is necessary to carry out further studies related to mediating variables related to gender and their effect on short stature.

Pembudidayaan udang berjenis vaname semakin berkembang. Pemanfaatan Kawasan pesisir yang diubah menjadi tambak udang oleh masyarakat menimbulkan berbagai masalah, salah satunya adalah pencemaran air sungai akibat pembuangan limbah yang tidak dikelola terlebih dahulu, alhasil menyebabkan lingkungan sekitar tambak udang menjadi rusak dan mengakibatkan penurunan kualitas lingkungan perairan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah dapat merancang desain IPAL untuk mengatasi tingkat pencemaran air sungai di Kawasan tambak udang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan tahapan-tahapan yang terdiri dari metode survei dan pemetaan; ujilaboratorium dengan parameter berupa BOD, DO, TSS, Fosfat, dan Amonia; serta analisis dengan metode deskriptif untuk mengetahui rancangan desain IPAL berdasarkan hasil uji dan karakteristik zat pencemaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa air sungai melebihi baku mutu dengan parameter yang diuji yaitu BOD 4,764 mg/L, DO 4,194, TSS 120,4 mg/L, Amonia 1,7064 mg/L, dan Fosfat 0,3008 mg/L. Hasil perhitungan indeks pencemaran air menunjukkan air sungai tercemar ringan hingga tercemar sedang. Arahan pengelolaan untuk mengatasi hal ini adalah dengan Pembangunan instalasi pengolahan air limbah dengan desain instalasi yang terdiri dari 6 bak diantaranya bak ekualisasi, bak pengendapan awal, bak biofilter anaerob, bak biofilter aerob, bak pengendapan akhir, dan bak pengolahan lumpur.

Hasanuddin University Lake in Indonesia is a water tourism destination that offers natural beauty and comfort. In addition, the lake functions as an important scientific development park for the university. Even though its location is on campus, the surroundings of the campus are residential areas and various life activities. Recently, weed growth has occurred, which could be an indication of contamination and may hinder its useful function. Therefore, this study investigates the physicochemical quality of water, the pollution index, and its monitoring, attempting to make the campus lake continue to function sustainably. The research was carried out at the peak of the dry and rainy seasons, with laboratory examinations based on standard methods for quality parameters that follow lake use function standards. The results showed that most of the water quality parameters measured needed to meet the required quality standards. Based on the scoring results using the water pollution index method, lake water is classified as lightly to moderately polluted, which requires protection. The monitoring method is prepared with the addition of a biological indicator system. In line with that, intensification of the diversity of greenery around the lake and environmental management in an integrated manner with the surrounding settlement. The conclusion is that there is a need for complementary monitoring between physicochemical and biological methods and management coordination with the surrounding territories.
