Análisis de la influencia de las variables situacionales en el fútbol profesional (Analysis of the influece of situational variables in professional soccer)

Abstract

El conocimiento objetivo de los indicadores de juego que ocurren durante la competición permite a los entrenadores realizar planes de entrenamiento ajustados a las necesidades competitivas. El propósito de este trabajo fue analizar la influencia de la localización, el efecto de marcar primero y la calidad del oponente parcial y final en el resultado, en función del momento de la temporada en una liga profesional de fútbol. Para ello, se analizaron 114 jornadas de liga de la Primera División Española de Fútbol Masculino, correspondiente a tres temporadas (2014-2015, 2015-2016 y 2016-2017), con un total de 1140 partidos. Los resultados obtenidos, ponen de manifiesto la ventaja de los equipos que marcan el primer gol, ya sean locales o visitantes, consiguen un mayor número de victorias. En la primera vuelta se identificaron diferencias en todos los indicadores de juego (localización del partido, marcar primero, calidad de la oposición final), excepto en la calidad de la oposición parcial, mientras que en la segunda vuelta se encontraron diferencias significativas en todos los indicadores de juego. A partir de estos datos, los entrenadores deben realizar los cambios o estrategias necesarias para sacar el máximo rendimiento de su equipo y por consiguiente el resultado más positivo. Abstract. The objective knowledge of the game indicators that occur during the competition allows coaches to make training plans adjusted to competitive needs. The purpose of this study was to analyse the influence of venue, the effect of being the first to score and the partial and final quality of the opponent in the result, according to the moment in the season in a professional football league. Thus, 114 league competition days were analysed from the First Division of the Spanish Men’s Football League, corresponding to three seasons (2014-2015, 2015-2016 y 2016-2017), with a total of 1,140 matches. The results obtained show the advantage gained by the teams that score the first goal, whether at home or away, as they are the ones that achieve more victories. In the first round, differences were identified in all game indicators (match location, score first, final quality of the opposition), except in the partial quality of the opposition, while in the second round, significant differences were revealed in all the game indicators. Using these data, coaches should adopt the necessary changes or strategies to achieve the maximum performance from their team and thus the most positive result.
