Analysis of competitiveness in trade between Brazil and Peru: an approach considering the effect of physical integration Análisis de competitividad en el comercio entre Brasil y Perú: un enfoque considerando el efecto de la integración físicaThis study aims to discuss the effects of physical integration on the commercial exchange of Brazil and Peru. The "constant market share" method is adopted with the purpose of determining gains and / or losses in competitiveness, and the sources that can explain the pattern of trade behavior. There is a trend of gains in competitiveness of Brazilian exports in the Peruvian market, but decreasing in recent years. There is a gain in the competitiveness of Peruvian exports in Brazil, however, with a very low market share. The export pattern from Brazil to Peru is more diversified, and of Peru more concentrated.
