Abstract

The analysis of concrete honeycomb is a significant study in the field of civil engineering that aims to comprehend, identify, and address honeycomb issues in concrete structures. Honeycomb is a condition where there are voids or defects on the concrete surface, which can result in a decrease in the strength and durability of the structure. In this research, concrete samples experiencing honeycomb from various construction projects were collected and subsequently, tested by various non-destructive testing methods such as ultrasonic testing and radar penetration. The analysis revealed that factors such as inadequate compaction during concrete mixing, insufficient care during curing, and problems during the construction process can be the causes of honeycomb formation. By understanding the causes and consequences of this phenomenon, recommendations to prevent such defect are provided, together with the structural repair to ultimately enhanc the integrity and lifespan of concrete structures. Abstrak Analisis mengenai beton keropos adalah sebuah penelitian yang sangat penting dalam bidang rekayasa sipil. Tujuannya adalah untuk memahami, mengidentifikasi, dan mengatasi masalah yang berkaitan dengan fenomena keropos pada struktur beton. Keropos adalah keadaan di mana terdapat ruang kosong atau ketidaksempurnaan pada permukaan beton, yang dapat menyebabkan penurunan kekuatan dan daya tahan struktur tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, sampel beton yang mengalami keropos dari berbagai proyek konstruksi dikumpulkan dan diuji menggunakan berbagai teknik pengujian non-destruktif, seperti ultrasonik dan radar penetrasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor seperti ketidakmerataan pemadatan selama proses pencampuran beton, perawatan yang kurang memadai selama proses pengerasan, serta masalah dalam pelaksanaan konstruksi dapat menjadi penyebab terbentuknya keropos. Dengan memahami penyebab dan dampak dari fenomena ini, saran untuk mencegahnya , yang pada akhirnya akan meningkatkan kekokohan dan umur panjang pada struktur beton tersebut.
