Análise institucional das práticas de enfermagem em uma unidade básica de saúde

Abstract

This is a study, of a qualitative nature, which uses the Institution Analysis approach, and it had as a purpose to analyze the practice of nursing in a Basic Health Unit in a Northern district of Campinas, in order to understand the work done by the professionals who form the nursing staff in this Unit, in comprising the cares provided and their subjectivity. The practice of nursing is present in the everyday actions of the professionals and it can be individual or collective, with social, political and cultural influences. We know that nursing has a long history and it has influence in the current practices. The place of the study was in a Health Unit in Campinas, being this Unit the working place of the researcher as a nurse, having thus an implication of the researcher with her work. The intervention measure, built to the analysis of the practices, involves group meetings, and it was invited all the professionals involved in the nursing team to take part in the research. Five meetings happened to discuss the practice of nursing, and all of them were recorded and transcribed with the consent of the participants. In each meeting it was analyzed, collectively, everyday problems situations. The analysis followed the concepts of the AI, and it was according to what it was raised in the talks and records in daily research. Several notes were made in the study that can be useful as diagnosis to be used in the improvement of the nursing professional performance, focusing in their practice. It was noticed that, the nursing team analyzed, works in a collective process, marked with a social and technical division, having the cooperation as a defining feature. It also has a certain autonomy when carrying out their work. However, they are overstretched by the prevailing health care model in which great part of the structuring actions of the health unit are attributed to them. At the same time, tools are missing to the performance of these actions, resulting in a low efficiency that causes, many times, professional anxiety. It is unavoidable the review of the nursing practice so that this practice is integral and decisive, focused in the user, considering its singularity and respecting the autonomy of the individual who needs care.
