Abstract:This paper analyzes the single-phase auto-reclosing in optimized single-circuit transmission lines (O-TLs). Optimized transmission lines have the advantage of transmitting higher power in a narrower space. However, because of the strong capacitive coupling in O-TLs the single-phase reclosing can be compromised. Accordingly, this paper presents a comparison between single-phase reclosing in conventional lines and O-TLs. Four scenarios were tested: conventional neutral reactor, optimal value, typical value of 80… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
