Análise da adoção de sistemas de gerenciamento de armazém (Warehouse Management Systems - WMS) : um estudo multicaso

Abstract

Due to the increasing importance of Logistics in the cunent business enviromnent and the relevant role of Warehousing Management in that context, this work aims to explore the i.mportance of the software WMS (Warehouse Management System) as a fundamental resource to reach an efficient and efficacious Warehousing Process. This work, therefore, investigates the ordering process, analyses the irnplementation process, identifies the main results achieved and the user's satisfaction obtained by the adoption of a WMS software, using a multicase study research methodology. From the results of this work, it is verified that: the WMS achieved the goals planed by the companies, promoting improvements in the warehousing process; the results were in agreement with bibliographic revision; the conect information at the right time and the warehousing management are very important for the companies nowadays.
