Análise Comparativa Do Perfil Epidemiológico Da Tuberculose No Estado Do Tocantins E Região Norte Do Brasil Entre 2009 E 2019.

Abstract

A tuberculose (TB) é uma importante causa de morte em todo o mundo. Caracteriza-se por uma infecção pelas bactérias do complexo Mycobacterium tuberculosis que pode se desenvolver em vários órgãos. O principal fator de risco para infecção por M. tuberculosis é a coinfecção por HIV (Vírus da Imunodeficiência Humana). Atualmente, o número estimado de novos casos anuais de tuberculose é de 8,7 milhões, sendo o Brasil um dos 20 países com maior incidência. Na Região Norte do país, o Amazonas liderou este ranking com 72,9 novos casos em 2018, o maior deste território. Sabe-se ainda que dados recentes sobre incidência de HIV no estado do Tocantins demonstraram que a cada 36 horas uma pessoa é infectada pelo vírus. Dessa maneira, o objetivo do presente estudo foi à realização de uma pesquisa sobre o perfil dos casos confirmados de tuberculose no estado do Tocantins e Região Norte do país entre 2009 e 2019. Para isso, foi utilizado um estudo do tipo epidemiológico, comparativo, de natureza descritiva, realizado por meio da coleta e análise de dados a partir dos casos confirmados de Tuberculose no estado do Tocantins (TO) e na Região Norte no período proposto. Essas informações foram obtidas pelo acesso ao Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN) do Departamento de Informação e Informática do SUS (DATASUS). A pesquisa obteve um total de 2333 casos confirmados de TB no estado do Tocantins e 102.362 diagnósticos positivos na Região Norte do país. Além disso, há um predomínio significativo da doença nos Homens (68,02%), sobretudo entre 20 e 59 anos e na zona urbana. Por outro lado, o estudo revelou a presença de TB infantil no Tocantins, os quais totalizaram 70 notificações entre menores de 9 anos de idade. Dos casos confirmados de TB no TO, 155 são portadores de HIV e 589 não realizaram o teste de confirmação. Dessa maneira, há uma expansão da tuberculose nos últimos 10 anos, tanto no estado em questão quanto na Região Norte do Brasil, e são necessários maiores investimentos na Atenção Primária em Saúde, com ênfase em prevenção e acompanhamento dos casos confirmados de TB.
