An update of the invasion status of Rapana venosa (Mollusca: Gastropoda) in the Río de la Plata estuary

Abstract: Rapana venosa, a gastropod of Asian origin, has become a highly successful invasive species in various coastal-estuarine ecosystems worldwide. It was first recorded in the Río de la Plata (RdlP) in 1999 and has since expanded its range along the Argentine and Uruguayan Atlantic coast, and recently in southern Brazil.
