Abstract:Chronic gastrointestinal bleeding is the leading cause of iron deficiency anemia in developed countries, and most occult bleeds are attributed to upper gastrointestinal tract lesions, which are broadly categorized into mass lesions, vascular, infectious, and inflammatory abnormalities.
