An unusual cause of chest pain: atraumatic clostridial myonecrosis

Abstract: Atraumatic clostridial myonecrosis is a rare but potentially life-threatening infective condition which is thought to occur in elderly and immunocompromised subjects via bacterial translocation through the gut wall and distant haematological seeding.
